How speech therapy helps slow Parkinson’s
Join us for an informative discussion about the importance of speech therapy as an integral treatment for persons with Parkinson’s disease. The conversation will be led by Matt McKeon, a speech pathologist and representative of the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA). Mr. McKeon is also the founder and owner of Vocalize: a practice with a special focus on Parkinson’s and vocal cord dysfunction.
And, as a special treat, PFNCA’s mobile resource unit will be on site and will offer tours and the opportunity to meet Amp, the official mascot of PFNCA. Amp travels the region to share information with those facing Parkinson’s and highlights the importance of exercise, speaking louder, and learning.
